Built on the Etsy Open API
GiftScout keeps the list of people you buy for. Fourteen days before each occasion, then seven, then two, it emails you a handful of handmade ideas that are listed on Etsy right now — and under the budget you set.
Sign-in reads your email address and nothing else. It is the address the reminders go to.
A reminder queue looks like this
Name, occasion, date, what they are into, and what you want to spend. Yearly occasions roll themselves forward.
Search Etsy from inside the app and save candidates against that person. Availability is rechecked daily.
14 days, 7 days, 2 days. Each email carries fresh ideas and flags anything of yours that has sold out.
Every reminder runs a fresh search — not a re-check of pinned links — so the ideas in your inbox are the ones a shop can still make and ship before the date.

What is kept
Per saved listing, only the current stock count and the one before it — enough to tell "just sold out" from "sold out a while ago", never a longer history. Search results are never persisted.
Danger
Deletes the account, everyone on the list and every saved idea. This cannot be undone.
